Redmi Note 8 launched on 16 Oct 2019 and Realme 5s launched on 20 Nov 2019. Both of these smartphones have the almost same specification and same price range. However, both of these are having a difference in performance.
Processor: Having the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor in both of these smartphones, both of these are having a slight difference.
Realme 5s is the winner in terms of overall performance.
Camera: The front and back camera sensors are same in Redmi note 8 and realme 5s but due to software optimization quality of photographs are slightly different in both smartphones. However, the difference is not huge but in my opening Realme 5s camera perform slightly batter than Redmi Note 8. Colours are batter optimized in realme 5s but pixels are more clear in Redmi Note 8 than Realme 5s.

It is very hard to choose clear camera winner in both of these smartphones but here in my opinion Realme 5s is slightly battered in terms of camera.
Display: Redmi Note 8 Pro is having FHD+ display with screen resolution 2280×1080 with 403PPI pixel density, whereas Realme 5s is having normal HD display with screen resolution 1600X720 with 269PPI pixel density.
So in terms of Display Redmi Note 8 is the clear winner.
Battery Backup: Realme 5s is having 5000mAh big battery whereas Redmi Note 8 is powered with 4000mAh. Realme 5s is the clear winner in terms of battery backup. But Redmi Note 8 is having the advantage of Type-C charging port and Redmi Note 8 supports 18W fast charging.
Design: Realme 5s and Redmi Note 8 is having the almost same design. Realme 5s back cover is made of plastic but Redmi Note 8 back cover is protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass 5. So Redmi Note 8 is having the advantage here.
