Go to System Settings >> Privacy >> Hide Apps >> Enter the privacy passcode >> choose the application >> enable Hide Home Screen Icons >> Set Access Number

Follow the simple steps to lock and hide apps in realme devices:

Now enter your security password

Select apps which you want to hide

Enable the option “Enable password verification

Enable the option “Hide Homescreen Icon“. When you try to enable Hide Homescreen Icon option you will see a pop-up to enter the access number first time. Here set the access number you want to set.

Always remember this access number otherwise it will be very difficult for you to open the hidden apps. Because your hidden apps will not be visible anywhere on your mobile.

In my case, I have set my password 1234 so you can open hidden apps by dialling your access number with adding “#” before and after the access number. Ex. – #1234#

As you dial your access number all hidden apps will open in a folder, here you can open the hidden apps. You hidden apps will not be shown in recent apps and search option if you have checked all options as shown in the image.

Open hidden apps with fingerprint directly

You can open hidden apps by fingerprint directly in realme devices.

In this case, you need to add a dedicated fingerprint for your hidden apps. Means, you can unlock your phone with fingerprint normally and you have to add a different finger for hidden apps.

You need to follow the simple steps given below:

Here add two fingers by clicking on Add a fingerprint, one fingerprint will be used to unlock your device and unlock the apps and another fingerprint will be used to unhide the hidden apps.

In my case, I have selected Finger 2 to open the hidden apps. Hidden apps will open in a separate folder when you press your Finger 2 on the fingerprint scanner.

Hidden apps feature limitation in ColorOS

You have hidden your desired app in your ColorOS device but Hidden app feature in Oppo realme devices is having limitation. The hidden app is visible in the search option.

For example, I have hidden Family Link app in my device. If I search family link in apps, it is visible to all in the search option, anybody having my app lock password can easily open it.
